Please read what boxes this is for, it is not for a f3 or f5, but f3s and f5s. How you will understand that the firmware for the two differing types of boxes, the s ones and the non s ones.

There is a new released official Skybox software for the older F3/F5 boxes dated 23/12/13 but the release notes state that it's only to fix the Youtube and Youp*rn bugs. I'm afraid only the newer " S " series of boxes have had software to give them the new type epg, timer record functions etc.

Everything is working a treat, the EPG and PICON make this little ?50 receiver excellent and who knows what else is around the corner.

Of course you can - where do you think I got them from? As stated in my first post these are the official Skybox downloads. Official = from the Skybox website.

Yea, I can confirm it works for me on my F5S. I just scheduled a ten minute programme on CITV using the OK button in the EPG and while I was watching Gold the box automatically switched over to CITV at the scheduled time and started recording. After pressing the OK button to record a programme you must change the setting to record otherwise it will only change to the scheduled channel.

Tried it myself...works ok so long as you dont put the box on standby...the whole bit in the timer settings about 'wakeup' is pointless at the moment...once on standby it stays that way until the remote wakes it up.

Hi, that looks great! I have downloaded and installed the updates and have the new picons which look superb. How have you got your EPG like that when i click EPG I still get the rectangle box in the middle of the screen which displays 5 channels. How do I get it so that my EPG looks like yours?

Also is the EPG still the same so that when you go up and down it changes the channel at the same time?

While viewing a channel, press the OK button once on your remote, then press the right hand arrow button once.

No it doesn't change the channel now untill you press the OK button on your remote.

Thanks for your reply, that doesnt seem to be working on mine, the EPG is still the same, Ive only got a USB pen drive (128mb) which I used to transfer the files over plugged in at the minute, im guessing that isnt big enough for the EPG to work properly with?

Im going to buy a external hard drive tomorrow to keep plugged in at the back.
