Few questions?

1. How exactly do I upgrade to the latest firmware of F5s?

2. Which is the best for channel layout AJ's list or Satts list? Also how exactly do I put either channel list on the box?

3. When I click on the EPG it crashes the box altogether and I have to restart the box, what exactly causes this problem?

4. Where do I get the newest EPG for seven days from?

5. Would I need to back up everything if im going up update firmware or put new software on it? Would the USB have to be formatted to FAT 32 or can it still work on NTSC?

1.
Download the .rar file..
Unzip file to recieve .abs file
Put .abs file onto a USB stick
Put USB stick into Skybox f5s
Press Menu on the remote.
Press Down (The menu is called "Tools")
Press OK
Go down to upgrade files by USB, Press OK
Upgrade mode should already be set to "image file .abs" So go down to Start and press OK.
Shh beat me to it, that will teach me not to refresh first

2. Personal preference, although I think most prefer AJ's list(?)
Same as above although,
Delete old channel list first
When on upgrade files by usb press right on the "upgrade mode" to set it to misc files
then select tp.prog then press yellow
There is threads in this forum with red text, they can help you if my steps are unclear

5. Thethingthatcantbetalked about is backed up everything else I think you will have to back up yourself, people say it needs to be FAT32 but I don't think thats always the case

4...doesn't come with the firmware update...access to it does...you still need to let the box 'update' the EPG itself.

Is there any simple way of backing up the files from the box before upgrading? Im confused what to do.

Yes...just go to >Tools, then Dump By USB and then select what you want to save....there is also a good tut by Shady in the link below.
