When you have the box connected at you mates house & not getting the channels

Do you have any other boxes connected to the same dish...I.e the official $ly box or any other aftermarket box ??

Also , for the price they are on ebay , buy the powerline adapters, i got some from currys store on ebay for ?12.99. Plugged them in last night and they work better than a 5m ethernet cable across my living room. These reduce the need for a wireless connection.

When you have selected the Movie channel you get the "No Signal", press the info button three times and you will see a signal bar. Should be greyed out progress lines if "No Signal. Exit back to your blank "No Signal" screen.

Now go into Network Local, Network Setting and Activate the Ethernet Protocol. Exit back to screen.

Back on the blank screen press the info button three times and check the signal lines.

If they are coloured and showing over 45% then you are getting a signal from your dish.

If they are greyed out and showing less than 45% then its No Signal from dish and nothing whatsoever to do with the wifi.

This is just a simple test to eliminate the wifi causing the problem

Thats your problem if you have the original $ly box & the aftermarket box on at the same time
thats why your not getting some channels

check that you have the sat cable in the correct connector at the back .Make sure it is connected in the "in" port rather than the "loop" port because this will give some channels but not all of them.
