    Skybox m5 not connecting with router

    hi i bought new skybox m5 its not connecting with my router but funny thing is when i took back to place where i bought it from and it connected straight away

    any idieas why its not connecting with my router

      Its not a virgin super hub by any chance?

        Right,I dont know the answer because Im basically PC illiterate But.
        I did one of these boxes for a mate and when I took it to his house it just would not connect to his wireless,yet at mine it was fine.

        I bet if you disconnect every device in your house from your wi-fi and have absolutely nothing using your wireless your box will connect no problems.
        I dont have the answer,but I know its somemthing todo with the router and not the set top box.
        Spiderbox ,1m motorised dish...

          DHCP is on

          I have sky broadband

          i did try disconnect everything in the house but still its timing out do you think its the router

          can i enter manually my ip adress in there

              I too have the same issue, we connect to certain routers but not others, been told its a router settings issue but ant got a clue what needs to be changed in the router settings

                i got it connected by removing wireless security but then the remote control wont work when it connects to wifi so dont know what to do
