channel list for f5s in sky order?

when i push ok i get the box up split into 3 sections on the left i get the a-z, favourites, providers, middle box i get what ever i select on the left the the right box gives me the channels. the channels that are in 1 to 5 vary depending what i select if i go to the a-z what ever the first 5 channels in a are 0001 to 0005

Perhaps the layout is different because you have the 7 day EPG firmware installed?

My F5s still has old (just now/next) firmware. When I press the OK button I just get 3 columns of channels. If I then press the red (group) button I get a pop up box with the options of "All, Favorite, Satellite, Providers, or A-Z" as shown in the 2 photos.

edit...just wondering if the "all channels" might be inside the "Favorites" option in your firmware.

Also, once you have selected A-Z order, I don't think there's a way of reverting back to the previous channel order without reinstalling the channel list, or setting the box to default settings. So I wouldn't recommend selecting A-Z again.

2nd edit...I'm confusing myself now LOL. It's only when you SORT by A-Z that it mucks up the channel list, not if you GROUP by A-Z.

Using the latest firmware if you select " ALL " which is the top option on the left section as stated in your post then this will allow you to select channels in the S*y order of SATTV5's channel list. The downside of this method is that whenever you chose a channel using the Fav menu then you have to revert to the " ALL " option once again to enable the use of the numbered system.

If it was me, I would start again - Menu - delete all channels - reboot - add SATTV5's latest list - reboot again - Press OK button - Select " ALL " and then it should be " Bob's your uncle " - job done.

My last suggestion is a factory reset but make sure you've backed up your files first just in case of any deletions. After that I'm at a loss.

wow, if thats your channel list you use shown in the picture, it would do my head in
I have just renamed all the FAV's from numbers to what they are headed under sky tv and use that, i.e

You've got the wrong end of the stick. That layout is the same as mine. He DOES have a Favourites list. He is showing the OP how to use SATTV5's numbered system and in order to use it you must first put the box into " All Channels " mode which he is depicting in his photos as opposed to a Fav category which will only give the channel numbers for that particular Fav category.

bigade1...Thanks for explaining what I was trying to show.

I have tried sattv5's channel list in the past, but I prefer AJ's layout myself. The photo shows AJ's channel list when "All" is selected. AJ's list does have favourites bobhope1.

tamgunner...when I asked you what you saw when you pressed the OK button, it didn't sound anything like the normal 3 column channel lineup as shown in my photo. Can you confirm that you see the same as I do. If not, is it possible to take a photo?

If u get no channel after installing the channel list - 1) restart box 2) Press the ok button, then press the red button then select All.Then when you come out of that press 101 or 401 and hey presto you should then get the full list of channels.

AJ's list isn't Sky ordered when selecting "All". Have a look at the attachment to my earlier post to see the order.
