do u flash the F5S using F3 firmware?

I have the effected channels working on the f5's box. What you need to do is flash the box with a null modem cable and use the f3 firmware. The eeprom tool will accept the firmware.

Hey, M5 box is showing the same issues, would it be possible to get a firmware version to support the M5? cheers

This 3rd party firmware is only for the F3s and F5s. Not for F3, F5 or any other skybox/libertview boxes.

If you need to view these channels then as the firmware provider has said use at your own risk. If you don't need to view these channels then best to leave everything as it is.

If going to upgrade firmware then I would recommend backing up existing firmware, settings, channel list and other things!!!

I also recommend after backing up, you:-

restore to defaults
restart box
then use upgrade by usb to upgrade to this firmware (answering 'NO' to keep dbs and settings)
restore defaults again
restart box
then just upgrade by usb the channel list and other things!!
restart box

You dont have to install this software on the F3 or F5. The missing channels where only on the F3S AND F5S boxes. Thats why this new image dated 4-4-14 was released just so we get the missing channels back.

The A3 and V5S also have this issue, will this solve the problem for these receivers? Tried the firmware but says file mismatch?

Unfortunately, I have to report a new bug with this software which is also present in the official software. Incidentally, I think the official release is the same as yours as it contains the same bug and the same id and date. Anyway, apart from the already present bugs which are:

Time Display loses approx. 4 to 6 minutes per 24 hours. Present since the launch of the " S " series.

Time, Clock Display, EPG and Info Banner is 2 minutes fast after synchronisation. Present since the launch of 22-01-14 firmware.

EPGXML programme listing times are 1 hour incorrect when Time setting has been adjusted for British Summertime in the menu. Present since the change in BST.

Here is the new bug in this version and the official version of this software:

When the GUI menu setting is set as " Whole " in the M/P ( Micro Panel ) the following behaviour can be noticed. While tuned to certain channels, if you press the "OK" button on your remote and highlight and proceed to navigate slowly through the " Favorite " options e.g. Entertainment, Lifestyle, Movies, Sports and so on the channel will freeze until you exit the menu. This behaviour also occurs if you select the options such as ALL, Satellite, Providers, A-Z etc in the left hand menu.

It's not a major issue but thought I'd let you know.

3rd Party image dated 4.4.14 from super jumbe also works on the V5S, the V5S is the same as F5s just a name change, i have tried it and it works fine..
