Kryptview and Starview : all cable boxes = not affected. Only satellite boxes are saying farewell to premium HD.

and how long does anyone think it will remain this way?
i would think the provider of these channels will insist that
official cable boxes are upgraded to this latest encryption to
also block unofficial ways of obtaining there channels this way.
and if a request is'nt complied with, they could refuse to supply
there service. i get a feeling a lot of time and money has been spent
setting all this up, and i'm sure they wont leave any loop holes open.

The problem they have with trying to get vermin hardware to comply is that they need to release the protection method and we all know what happens then. The more people who know how to impliment the protection means the bigger the risk of a leak. Nothing is loophole free and they're will always be someone who tries to find it whether it be for personal gain or just because they can, hackers need to practice so the more there is to practice with the better they will get

just had some virmin blokes bangin on mi door to check cabling; they said there was some problems, sh1t bricks, unplugged & hid everything then ran out an told him there's ****all wrong with mine it was only fitted last month an it works great.. but there was 2 of them in a car and he did knock on a few other doors. think i'll go back to mi sat tuner for a while lmao

Well i have standard fully legit paid for sky + and so has my father inlaw (Full package) and a lot of other people why are people saying that SD will disappear??? so they are just gonna turn of customers standard boxes???
I'm happy with Sd on my F5 its on 22" LED in my kitchen
