hi i have a problem was hoping someone could assist. I accidentally replaced the back_logo.m2v and now when i press the Menu button I only get a black screen. Please advice if there is a way to replace it back. Thank you.

If it isnt because you buggered up doing updates then it could be stuck on a channel causing it to reboot, try unplug ya sat cable from the back of the box and see if it starts up, if it does change channel and delete the offending one.

unfortunately my firmware is not the 2011 therefore it does not allow me to connect. do you think a null modem cable and flashing back the hds2_dump.abs will help coz it looks like the back_logo.m2v is inside that firmware file. thanks for your help

yeh it will go back on if you reflash the box

yea works like a charm with a null modem cable, but took a long time to download the firmware, it is only 4mb, this take me back to the 14.4k modem days... hehe

yea thanks for the advice, since i have upgraded it to the latest firmware, i tried S10 firmware on it, the interface is nice but does not have cccam despite injecting to it numerous time, now that i have the cable and kinda understand how it works thought it was worth a play around before i roll back.

there's plenty of s9 f/w out there, i still use the september one on mine.. works a treat so i'll leave it that way for now .

Also i think you can put the s9 f/w on the s10 but not s10 to s9.. so maybe thats why the cccam problem is there now
