you are right, when you unzip it you get one file.
rename it in tar.gz and unzip again, and u will get the 2 files they talking about

1) Unzip the file on your PC, you will find the files MD-Key-Updater.cfg and MD-Key-Updater.so
2) Copy the files to your Dreambox:
For the DM7025 You will need to place the files with FTP or DCC into the directory /var/etc
For the 500/600/7000/7020 place the file in /var/tuxbox/plugins and chmod the files to 755

You have now the Dreambox-Keyupdater installed on your dream

At this point all you need to do is execute the plugins for the download of the keys.

To do so perform the following operations
1) Blue button
2) Plugins
3) MD-KeyUpdater V4
4) Select and press OK...

The keys files are now downloaded you have now to select your cam and restart it.



How to CHMOD

you can do this with telnet

In summary:

- Telnet to your dreambox
- Login as root (password: dreambox)
- cd /var/tuxbox/plugins
- chmod 755 MD-Key-Updater.so
