No Clone Dreamboxes on Ebay

i aint no financial expert but maybe back in the day they needed investment to research an design enigma1 or 2 , obviously these investors will want to see a nice return on there original investment ,
i recently lost a shipment of 10 dreamboxes due to copyright infringements etc , now i lost out on a fair few quid , yet my supplier got away scott free , and there the ones breaking the copyright , seems crazy really , surely there crime is as much if not more serious than mine

If you buy from the likes of dhgate and you lose your shipment, the seller is obliged to refund you under their terms and conditions. I found this out when I had some fake uggs confiscated at customs when Decker were having a crackdown.

ive just had a look at a couple of suppliers on ali**** and in their t+c,s they are saying if the box/boxs get confiscated then "tough titty". surely the box still belongs to the seller until you have taken delivery and are satisfied., or am i wrong?? regards mdt

there are a few clones on the bay now
some for parts/repair others saying sim2.01 etc:
but if they are removing them they might not last long,

Sorry for bumping this but it has happened to me twice getting my boxes removed. Second time it happened after the 4 had sold.

I can see what people are saying with their development cost and such, but as far as i am aware they dont even make the dm500s anymore and people are only able to buy clones.

Still looks like some people are able to get away with it and not been banned though.

think people are getting around it mate by not stating its a clone and using the condition status Refurbished by Seller.

Surely if your selling a `sunray' 800-se then its fine.. I think as soon as you say its a dreambox theres a problem..

they are still on the bay a quick look
and i found three today a new 800se from bradford
buy now 199-99. a faulty 800 clone from bedford
and a 800 sim 2.01 for 149 from tamworth

It sounds like it is totally hit or miss. i think I will start a new listing and stopped using my saved one and also watch what i say and what photos i will use. Will let you know in a couple of weeks if I have had them removed again.
