DHL Delivery

Hi

Have had a DM800 SE from China, Its arrived here and is Manchester via East Midlands. Everything was fine up until Manchester and now suddenly has message:

Shipment held - Available upon receipt of payment

Thought once through East Midlands then all was good, would this be customs charge? Also tried contacting them and theres no direct number to contact depot in Manchester but have connected to other DHL delivery collection services. Eventually got Manchester number and its always voicemail.

The national number just keeps giving out message office is closed even at 11am and message says office hours are 9-6pm Mon to Fri.

Eventually decided to press 0 for urgent contact and was waiting for over 1/2 hour and gave up.

How are you supposed to resolve this if you cant make contact and arnt they supposed to contact you if there is issues.

Thought I would have it today but dont know when I`l get it now.

If anyone has had experience with DHL Manchester, what is the normal process and if released by East Midlands what is this payment DHL Manchester want.

Cant say I can see a contact email addy but I have registered for shipment notification with them via text but nothing yet.

I presume they have allready got my mobile as seller insists on mobile number for courier so as there is an issue why dont DHL ring me up. How would I know of issues if I wasnt tracking it.

Thanks guys just paid, hope they process payment overnight and deliver tomorrow. I was kinda hoping to have a play over weekend.

Still miffed that they dont contact you, could have had it paid in morning.....the 0844 number probable cost me more while I was hanging on for someone to answer.

Also paypal exchange rate was different to normal rate, paypal came out I think ?6 or ?9 higher then these charges BUT still lots cheaper than if id bought from here.

Fun times ahead once recieved, anyone recommend a good stable image. Had loads of fun back in the dbox 2 days with different images and this should be similar fun.

As with dbox2 I suppose everyone has different opinion of best image.

you will just have to go through the images till you find one you like mate. i like glass hd skin. had it on a few images and really like that skin.

i have the pli at the moment and its doing good.....till i feel like a change again

Well miffed, not impressed with DHL at all. They havent even contacted me, have left it to me to do all the chasing and even though I paid last night still shows up as waiting for payment.

Rang them up on that 0844 and this time managed to get throught to someone only to be told that it will be Tues now as payment has not been processed by their system??? I paid into their system and it acknowleded payment to me with a reference number yet she gave me the option to go pick it up, only that the depot was closing in 1/2 hr which was impossible for me so now have to wait till Tues. If payment was not showing then how could I collect.

Waste of a long weekend, is the onus on customer to check on their parcel or for DHL to contact you and let you know if their is problem.

I used Yaoxin. Communications with both Tony and Tina was good and actual service is good sent promptly, its just this end DHL havent really communicated with me once the problem arose.

Its only cos I was anxious and kept tracking it and once it had left East Midlands I thought all was good till it reached Manchester and DHL there have put this charge and they havent told me what this charge is.

Would have thought customs charge would have been levied by East Midlands.

I know for a fact that dhgate mark the item price down and say its a dvd player rather than a Dreambox.

Its been marked down for me too as I had this conversation with Tina, will have to wait till delivery to see if it was.

Did consider ordering with Dhgate and others but ended ordering with Yaoxin as have heard positive things about them. Not saying Dhgate is bad like, just went with gut feeling really. Id emailed loads of importers who were all willing to supply and price was not much different between the lot of them and Yaoxin and Dhgate were probably the best of the lot.

Guess I just got unlucky if indeed it is customs charge.

you have to add a seller on like tony or tina Addy's or on their sites then you get prices from them using msn to do all the communicating.
