My favoured source of information is youtube. Search for dreambox and there's lots of stuff that shows people actually doing it, which personally I find much more usable that some of the written descriptions as you can be sure that they haven't missed a crucial step (or made an assumption).

You also get to see what the screens look like which I find very reassuring.

      Hi

You should have got a tracking number and should be able to check and see where shipment is from the point it gets picked up.

Usually 3 working days and you should be playing with it .

Thats when the fun begins hehehe and youl be scratching your head, losing sleep and posting questions but if you read then most of questions are allready on the forums as we have all been there and still learning, well I am anyway.... Have fun.

      Regards

It's not obligatory to do anything to it. I view mine as simply another domestic appliance - just like a 'fridge or a TV. All I've done is put a bouquet (a list of channels, arranged by topic: news, sport etc.) for the Sky satellites on mine.

It's perfectly functional just as it arrives.Apart from the initial set up, which is a one-time only operation and optionally connect it to your home network or PC (so's you can watch films/tv from your computer) and/or plugged in a disk so it'll work like a PVR. After that you're done.

When you say channels, is that via cardshare, is there a link of how to put them in?

I used to have a Eurovox where I organised the channels as you say in categories (sport, kids etc.) I take it its the same.

                        Thanks for the info !

No, it's got nothing to do with CS. Just ordinary TV channels, aka stations, services or whatever.
Basically you grab a list (there's one on this site I'm told which is kept up to date) onto your computer and then use a windows application called Dreambox Control Center [note: american spelling] to send the files from your PC to the correct location om the DM.
