why do i get aborted after about 2 %???????????????

As Bulldog says use earlier version for DM500;

I think this one works for DM500, if not use earlier version in
DOWNLOADS. Also try to use null-modem ONLY from RS-232
port on old PC. Dream-up doesn't like USB-RS232 leads

Hi.
This is a good post but hopefully someone can help me or direct to right place.
I have DM528s and it died after one week. The green light is on but nothing on TV. Front power button does not turn it off and remote does nothing.
I used dreamup and flashed it using a lot of different files.
Now it turns on and starts to load, but then freezes as the TV setup screen comes up. Still front power button and remote do not respond.
Can anyone help me.
I am in Sydney Australia.

You need to use dream-up to flash new image as you have
corrupted image. You only use 1 file with dream-up, image file.
Any add-ons to image are done on-line or by FTP Read this

I tried other images still hanging and nothing responding. A silly question. Im using a serial cable. Could this be the problem and should I be using a null modem cable DB9F-DB9F?

Having said that, I still use Dremaup and it communicates fine with my DM and tells me everythng completed successfully.

went back thru earlier posts & you're from AUSSIE & you have
DM528s box. Dream-Up 1.3.2.1 should be suitable for that box
if not it won't flash & will say ABORTED BY USER. Try flashing
box again & say NO to FLASH ERASE. Is image file img type
Am sure cable you are using is null-modem as loader would not
even try to flash box if you used straight serial cable.
If you are still having difficulty post back with original image &
Names OF IMAGES YOU HAVE TRIED. Usually when box freezes
it's bad flash or wrong image. Just need to check are you using
cable or sat feed for this box. This box is for sat only, so image
needs to be for sat box NOT cable. Try PLI website or you could
try ChinaDreambox website. If need image call back in afternoon

Hi,
For a DM 800HD pvr(clone)- just installed with Rami Maher GP 3 blue panel + VTi panel Sim 2,01 SSl 76 D. What version of Dream Up would be suitable ?
Will it Flash / Erase.

yes m8 for any dreambox
but you might find different versions work better on some dreamboxes

on Dm 800HD pvr cloen, which FLASF / Erase version, I should utilize ??

Best way to flash box is with Dream-Up loader, look thru this
