ok got dream up and am just about to put the ip for the box in and see what happens brb..

Hi

I take it the pin codes I gave you didnt work. Right now if you dont need any vital info from your current image then the easiest thing is to reflash via dreamup otherwise you could be pulling your hair out by midnight .

Hence I dont want to complicate things too much for you.

One thing to do is take a backup of your current image just in case. YOu can do this via dreamup before your proceed to reflash.

Should have also mentioned no need for ip as you are flashing via com port and null modem cable.

Ok got dreaup on and yeah the pins didnt work and i thought it best to do what your saying and reflash..

Hmm ive put in the ip but nothing seems to be happening?

just so i got this clear where can i find the ip for the box?

i looked on my router and saw one for it and when i try and connect it does say dreambox but....drea up is just stating to turn the box on...but it is on?

Hmm ive run into a hitch guys...

my pc doesnt seem to have a port to accept this cable? unless its supposed to go into my graphics card? (that i doubt)

or i have spdif long port? (double the size of the port needed)

would a null modem cable to usb adapter work?
