Warning Sky white card burn out in Dreambox & other none Sky Receivers...

Be careful if your intending or presently using your new White Sky card in none Sky receivers the card gets very hot because the internl reader of a DM runs at 5v and the new White card is only supposed to run at 3.3v. if you notice slight pixelation of the picture on each ECM you should consider removing the card untill Voltage regulations can be addressed in any upcoming Cccam or newcs.. Its been reported by some users that cards have started burning out Its also been sugested by using external readers such as the pheonix readed can auto reduce the Voltage needed to run the card....

precautionary measure

Just be careful and perhaps remove the card at night time or deuring the day time when not in use if you consider to continue using the card in any none Sky Receiver...

I will update if I hear some more on this .....

Update:

A tip for newcs users to stop pixelation and studdering with new white Sky card is to block the ga in newcs.xml.

Iwill bring further updates when they become available

card works ok in newcs+mgcamd + newcs+cccam with most card programmers , but i would hold back till the update is done as know one knows what way it will be people saying there might be more to this card just all talk at the min, im sure it wont be long till they do some thing anyway

here full explanation of my card how it work :
i contacted guy and give him my box serial + card serial as he claimed, and after some time he come and give me boxkey , that worked perfect with my paired card. after getting the boxkey, i tried to retrace how did he find this box key and tried to make reverse way.

Here the way the calculate the main BOXKEY for New Sky card :


1- first let see the box serial ( that u get from menu ) is 0085642512

2- we delete first 2 numbers 00 and we got 85642512

3- we open browser on : Hex-Dec Converter Hex-Dec Converter

Then we do as :

see fig1

Then see fig2

Now we have this number : 51ACD10 But BOXID format is : 00 11 22 33

Then we are missing a number, we refill with zero "0" and we got 05 1A CD 10

Bingo : this is your box ID
Now in newcs.xml just add line in reader configuration :

<boxkey>051ACD10</boxkey>

Its an old method but undeless they got it working with this.

Yes, working freeze free on my dm800 and relook400s with newcs 1.66 and cccam 2.1.1 combo

small freeze issue with me same set up as yourself

I got one working also with newcs166+cccam211, few errors in the ecm requests but freeze-free.
also working with it working with hypercam , but it freezes with that, so passed on info for that.

thanks for the info lads. just cant work out why some get freezes and some dont on same set up! ive a feelin thers more to this than meets the eye.

I was forced by sky to switch over last night.

CCCam 2.1.2 on its own will see the card in the DM500 and detect its correct CAID but it will not get the correct decode words, so for now CCCam is not working....

installed NEWCS 1.67R1 on the DM500, made it the master card reader and i can clearly see it open and read the card, without issue.

Added an N: to the CCcam cfg file, and now the channels clearing fine again.

CCcam 2.0.11 or newer is needed.
NEWCS 1.66 or newer is also needed [older version have reading issues and picture freezes]

lots of example cfg files around, good luck.

I am getting the ecm time onscreen with nabilo blackhole image, try your image makers addon server for a plugin
