Dreambox streaming to internet,it was never easy like this

Ok, I found the reason for my odd IP during internal port scan. It was my vmware,
My IP shows correctly now:


My DNS is also fine:


I am still unable to stream over the net!
I have well and truly run out of ideas

Any other ideas?

Ok,sometimes altough you see the video in restreaming window actually no streaming occurs
be sure you are streaming by lower preview button
you can try several things as rebooting router,rebooting pc ..etc
did you open port 5678 and forward it to local pc ip
open it and i will to connect with your streamer from here .
block firewall and try again
even you have static ip try to assign dns address
try also to forward port 80 to ipdream and see what happen when you put your static ip in internet explorer
others reach this point and and when they start to give up streaming occurs!
be sure you have vlc .99 although latest program update accept the versions 1.0.0 and 1.01
by try first with vlc .99
choose your intenet profile from low to high and leave advanced setting later and do not forget to uncheck "receive stream by mobile"
use th last update coud solve the problem

I am unable to test on my Pc or laptop yet it works for you?

I am trying to use vlc to recieve the picture , what tool do you think is best to receive teh stream? (to pass onto friends)

sometimes there is block to view locally for reason i do not know
your friends can use wmp or vlc
but they shoud add "h" when receive mms (mmsh) when use vlc to receive stream and to use vlc for http
you can use dreambox web receiver for complete control of streamer program and to switch channels

You can test it in same pc with streamer-server program running
just fill your dns or static ip in settings
used to control streamer-server program remotely and accordingly control dm
you can start stream,stop stream,switching channels and even start recording remotely

the pictures in post 59 and 61 above are for the web receiver program which looks like the streamer one but has green interface

I am having a problem trying to stream anything with the h264 setting, all I get is crashes just like post #205
No matter what othersettings I use with h264 it always crashes.

What is the best h264 codec to use, is there a codec 'pack' with everything in by any chance?

Also you say to use http with the h264 codec put people are posting settings using mmsh.

By the way I am having internet problems at the moment so my download is as fast as my upload, 376k!
But download is only really needed by the receiver correct?

Your upload 370 kb/s nearly good and download speed important to who receive the stream
the program crashes when h264 used and this is expected with version .99 vlc and this is known bug in vlc
download version vlc 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 and both work with h264 codec

First of all I would like to congratulate you with your excellent program. I've got the program started, but when it loads on vlc, after 5 seconds it stops again and goes back to the normal playing dreambox tv. What can I do about it?

what version of program you are using
version 5 only accept vlc.99
version 5.0.7 accept vlc .99,1.0.0 and 1.0.1
download latest version build and and use recent version of vlc
dreambox player and webstreamer 5.0.7

Also this behavior can occur with dreambox loaded with images other than pli-jade and sifteam(e.g gemini)
