Hi mfaraj57, first of all, thanks for your great job. Well I install Dreambox player and streamer 6.1.0 in W7. I open 1234 and 5678 as instruccions says for pc ip. And port 80 for dreambox ip. The program plays well. When I start streaming the local preview works well, but the stream internet adress don't work. The preview says conection time out. Could you helpme on this? what's wrong? Thanks in advanced.

I am using version 6.1.0 with my dreambox 800. It just works for 10 seconds or so and then it stops. I am using vista and vlc 0.99

Any ideas about what could be wrong?

I am also using a wifi connection... Could that be the problem?

Streaming with Dreambox

I had that using the Gemini image on the dreambox--changed to PLi Jade image and VLC 1.0.5 and it cured everything.
Used Jade just as it came no setting to do other than activating CCcam for my cardxxxxxxxing

So that means it only works with a pli jade image?

you have to check dns address and if it is active
enter dns address in internet explorer assuming the port 80 forwarded to dreambox ip you should see what called dreambox webinterface,else there is something wrong in dns
also you can check for dns adddress from the program settings

locally with any enigma1 image works but for remote streaming found pli jade is best

Any thoughts why the install of the same file WebPlayer/sreamer 6.1 on two different pc's that one shows "stream to mobile phone" and the install on a diferent machine does not show the option.
Both pc's running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Sorry about that it was in the advance mode.
Any thought s on "unsupported content" being returned by my mobile phone or am I really pushing my luck.

codec constitutes of the streaming parameters you have chosen for stream ,by other way streaming needs to be compressed and transcoded to be handled by internet route so you should decide what is appropriate for your internet speed
from program settings you have three presets values for codec according to internet upload speed you have low,medium and high and further more you have advanced which you can go more depth in details but you should have minimal knowledge how to combine different parameters

stopping of the streaming after few seconds could be issue for dream image,dreambox connection to router(wired or wireless) or improper codec(choose one from presets values-start by low )
could upgrading your vlc version more than .99 solve the problem if your windows language is English

yes "stream to mobile phone" disappear when you choose advanced mode because no need for that because in advanced mode you should choose what appropriate for mobiles to receive streams
to receive stream through mobile,your mobile should have either vlc4iphone for iphone or coreplayer for nokia,my experience with other players are discouraging as example realplayer is not good to receive stream
