Dreambox streaming to internet,it was never easy like this

version 5 only accept vlc.99
version 5.0.7 accept vlc .99,1.0.0 and 1.0.1
download latest version build and and use recent version of vlc
dreambox player and webstreamer 5.0.7

Also this behavior can occur with dreambox loaded with images other than pli-jade and sifteam(e.g gemini)

really in this case i do not have solution for the problem
but i need more information about system
to diagnose the problem i need from you
first install vlc .99
after that do streaming and during streaming or after failure immediatly take the information and send them to me or show here

Ok got it to work with VLC 0.99 . What program do I have to use to get in the dreambox remotely (when i'm using in an other country). The program Tunisia-sat dreambox web receiver does not seem to work (problem connecting to server).

To enable the web receiver program to connect with server(streamer) you have also to open port 5678 and forward it to local pc ip in streamer side
you can take stream web address and use it with windows media player or vlc or any other player can play stream.

First of all I would like to congratulate you with your excellent program. I've got the program started, but when it loads on vlc, after 5 seconds it stops again and goes back to the normal playing dreambox tv. What can I do about it?

Yes you can stream with your current IP adress as u said that you have to change it after each restart of your modem.

if it is not static you should use dns address and simply you can assign one
other if you have no success with streaming use image sifteam or pli-jade instead of nabilo

hi guys,

right ive finally got rid of my antiquated nabilosat darkstar image on my dreambox after it for some unknown reason locked me out of port 21 and 23 and nothing i could do would allow me back in again.
im now using the SIF team image 193E and my god what an improvement!!!!!
all the new plugins now work and its very stable with no crashes,but most importantly here with this thread is that all networking programs are vastly improved,like streaming avi's with VLC and recording to my pc's HDD.
this program now works a treat with really top quality streaming and good quality pictures from a slow upload speed of around 300kbs.its now very stable and loads the channels from my 7020 straight away and the streaming is very much faster in starting up.
so to sum up,anyone still experiencing annoying little problems with this program,its more than likely down to the image that you are using on your box.
i highly recommend the SIF image if anyone cares to experiment to get this program up and running properly.ian.

tell you one thing that happens and i cant figure out why this is.it might even be a problem with my OS,but i would love to find an answer.

after using this program i find that my monitor no longer goes to sleep.
i have to go into properties and reselect the time for it to power down again,be it 5mins or 10mins after i have stopped using the pc.all is ok again,untill i use this program,then the same thing occurs,i have to reset the power down time.
at first i didnt put the two things together,but over time i realised that it was using this program that caused this.
its not a major problem,but it is bloody annoying.
anyone know why this happens?
