Hi Guys, first post so go easy on me !!

Did a rescan on my dreambox last night with the SGT bouquets.

However I am now only able to pick up channels 1 to 109 and nothing else which are the Entertainment channels from the bouquet.

I d/loaded the latest DBEdit but not sure what I've done wrong ?

Any ideas at all ?

running:

dm800hd 2.01 clone
newnigma2-dm800-v3-3-1ramiMAHER ssl84a
hdglass16 3.85 skin

I've got them in media/hdd/picon and have set the correct paths in newnigma setup and hdglass setup

any ideas?

In many DM800 images, the Picon path is specified in usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Renderer/Picon.py

Open the picon.py file in a Linux friendly text editor and you will see a couple of external locations specified, /media/cf/%s/ and /media/usb/%s/, just change the cf to hdd, then save and overwrite the original file - when you reboot, you will have picons.

Maybe it's different in your particular image then, every one I've tried has both a picon.py and a picon pyo

You could try a symlink, telnet into the box and enter:

ln -s /media/hdd/picon /usr/share/enigma2/

PLease could somebody advise how i install picons! I have the EPG working but no picons showing. I had no trouble with a DM800 HD but, can not solve the issue with the DM800 se. Advise appreciated.

its if you run a server mate..you will not need it, also the picon folder goes in media\cf drectory if you have a hard drive installed.

Have 2 questions.
1. What is the difference between enigma 2 and enigma 2 multi.
2. I'm running OpenPli 2.1 beta and already have picons I like. Will they work with this?

Multi is for more than one sat, motorized for example, whilst non multi Is just 28e skyuk
You can leave your existing picons in place an they will work fine

These bouquets are positioned identical to the Sky Box, All that is different is the numbering which I find to be very messy when done so I leave it how it is. Enjoy a neat up to date bouquet.

I will be doing Enigma2 Multi Bouquet, But will not for Enigma1 as it takes too long to remove every HD channel from all satellites, Easily too do yourself if you have the time.


** Edit your own BBC & ITV Regional channels to suit your needs in DreamboxEdit (If you are from Ireland, I've renamed all Irish channels so easy for you to find) **

Also added Picons for Sky UK,
All correctly mapped and a few obscure ones missing only

Use any FTP client, DCC for example, to transfer the picon directory to
one of the following paths on Flash, HDD, CF or USB respectively:

/usr/share/enigma2
NOT recommended, because of limited capacity of the flash memory

/media/hdd
HDD will keep running indefinitely and may affect image performance

/media/cf
Recommended if CF available and successfully mounted (8000/800)

/media/usb
Recommended if USB available and successfully mounted (8000/800)

Picon will display immediately on zapping, no further setup required!

Always remove old picons from Dreambox before uploading new ones,
Sometimes they don't overwrite correctly
