    dm500s red light

    my light is is always on its red and cant power off when i press power button on remote is this normal

    you could try unplugging the box and see it the box resets its self (the box should have a green light on it ) if after unplugging the box its still got a red light you will need to reflash it .

    an image can be faulty or corrupt and so will not work well if at all ,i suggest you download an image from a different source (before flashing with dreamup perform a flash erase ,flash erase is just above flash in dreamup ) and then flash the box as normal .

    the image is corrupt and clearly stopping your box working ,this is most likely the cause of all the issues your having .
    i love it when a dreambox comes together.

      I have same problem red light on front panel ,try to dreamup and no conection can be made. i have null modem cable and none is working.after powering off red light goes of and no light will be on front ,only light is inside box ,then i keep pluging power suply a few times in and out and red light comes on again but can not do nothing.can anyone help plz ,thank you

          Hi and thank you for quick answer ,the problem is that the dreamup does not "talk" to box.After i left box all night off now only light i get is the ones inside box and none in front panel.
          when conect to dreamup it just :conection prepared conect dreambox !Pluged unpluged few times still nothing hapens.
          I think it needs to go in bin

            have you tried a few different versions of dreamup? some versions have problems

              I did tried other dreamup no joy, today thought to give it a go on jtag and after soldering all connections one came off pin 3 so no joy with that either
