Help to setup oscam and cccam on Darkstar 2

Have been reading all the posts about oscam but has anyone set it up using the darkstar 2 image on a 500s.

When i download oscam-cccam 2.13 from the addons it doesn't gave me an option in softcam to select only common interface.

I have the three config files that are needed but first i need to get the cam installed.

oscam is the cardserver hence the reason you cant select it as a softcam - use mgcamd as the softcam

however you can configure oscam as softcam as well using the dvbapi configuration but if Darkstart 2 wont allow you to select it as a softcam no point.

ricky once you install oscam+ccam from the nabilo addons exit back to the tv channels and press the blue button ,press the right arrow button untill you see oscam +ccam and press the ok button on the remote .after that if your using your own card you can put the card in the slot and it should open channels .

after that you will need to edit the config files which we cant talk about here .

Thanks for your reply piopat but once i install oscam-cccam and press the blue button all i can select is either common interface or cccam 2.13.

On the darkstar 2 image there is no option to select what card server i am using only softcam option unlike the pli jade image.

it should say oscam4803_cccam 2.1.3 in the nabilo addons ,if you installed that then it should say the same in the blue panel . if it only says cccam i can only thing you installed cccam on its own by accident .

try a manual install , pop oscam_cccam into the tmp/ file in your box using dream control center and then go to the manual install panel and select the cam and press ok button ,after that exit back to tv channels and press the blue button and set the cam as your default cam .

there is a version of oscam_cccam in the last link of my signature area ,i havent tried it my self but follow the instructions in the above post and manually install it .you can always uninstall it if your not happy with it .

Managed to get oscam installed by doing a fresh install of the darkstar 2 image. The card is clearing pick tv channels but not sure if my mates are able to share with me.

you should prepare your self for a lot of reading and testing ,oscam is a steeper learning curve than cccam in my opinion ,and you may have to try a few different oscam versions before you get one that works correctly .

as satsmo says there are a few more threads on the forum about oscam so have a read of those .

oscam.conf try this your ports don,t match mine connects perfect with nline

the port in the n line in cccam must match the port in oscam cfg
which is 12000

you can change that to what port u like
but they must match
