DMS500, CAN'T GET ANY TVCHANELS

Hi, everyone, I have a dms 500 but can't get any tv chnnels, when I scan all it says is all known transponders scaned but lock is not possible, do I really need to do any settings to get some tv channnels. Please help this newbie.

You are clearly trying to scan the wrong satellite.What satellite is your dish lined up on and what satellite are you trying to scan? please provide a bit more info and peeps mabye able to help you..Cheers.

menu setup service searching auto transponder scan select your satellite then scan

Hi, thanks I am trying to get W3A Eutelsat 7E, infact I have not watched any tv programme from it yet.
Do I need to set up bouquets or anything?

ok,where are you residing [country],and what size dish are you using..

I am in the U.K Wales. and I am using a 60cm dish, just like the sky dish

Is you dish pointing to W3A Eutelsat 7E. try scanning astra 28.2 to see if its aligned for that sat

make sure u r in the right sat position

I enen tried connecting my sky dish to it, and I had 13 scramled chanels forn BSKYB, I do not know BSKYB.

your dish is to small ,a 60cm dish is designed for say the sky satellite in the uk and the sky satelliite is a group of very strong satellites in the one location . a 60cm dish is too small ,if your in the uk depending on where you live the dish size will vary (the further north you are the bigger the dish you need ) but i would say some where between 90cm and a meter dish size give or take a bit .
