Yes I agree with that, you have had 4 different dm's hooked up with the same results, so you have to be looking at that. Or the motor isn't resetting.

Don't give up mate, have a closer look at the motor in the daylight, got to be something on that line.

satfinder set as predefined with astra 28 2 finds snr 53% and agc 93% and tick in lock box

Not great signal strength that, I'd say your dish is a little off line. But can you view channels now you have a lock.

I don't think your dish is looking at the sat you think it is. Just have a look at the hard reset procedure on my motor. The images are not great when opening by just clicking on it. Copy and paste it to a word document.

the dish moves and works 100% on 2 other receivers so i can't see how it can be out of line.

I'm just going off your snr levels, should be a lot higher. When you have the other stb connected and viewing bbc1. Just remove that box and connect the DM, but when you are doing this, have someone watch the dish to make sure it dose'nt move (AT ALL). Theoretically you should the be able to view bbc1 still. Just on another note, when you go into your channel list on the dm, make sure they are accessible and not greyed out.
