    DM / Motor

Sorry if this is not the correct section.

I have a DM500s (clone) and a stab motor. I am having problems controlling the motor with the DM.

For example, if I swing round to 16e it reaches the sat, clears the picture for a split second then rotates back to 1w, back to 16e, back to 1w and so on.

I have the settings set to goto x with the correct Long and lat....

I have updated the sat.xml file but it is still doing it, in fact it is getting worse - now it is starting to do this on 13e and 19e. The only sat it will go to without real problems is 28e.
Occasionally when you try to move from 13e to 19e it does nothing - image says it is moving but the dish stays put.

Once on the sats the strength etc is high (90%) with no ber.

I have a Nabilo image with (i think) The Captains settings loaded.

Is it worth trying a different image? Any suggestions gratefully recieved...

    Thanks
    Elbow

There is usually a little pin hole on your motor to reset the motor you could try that and you could check if you have any positions stored in your sat settings and delete those position.

Thanks Curious. What would resetting the motor do? Will it just reset it self to sat 1w?

In the sat configuration screen I have it set to 2many sat via diseqc rotor and there are a number of sats set in here. Are these the ones I should delete?

Resetting the pin will just probably set it to its default settings. I have accidently once saved a sat position by accident and than found that the dm500 ignored me on certain occassions and went to a saved position.I would definitey delete the saved positions and see what happens when you try using the go to xxxx.

Its driving me nuts this m8!!

I will try deleting the stored positions and see what happens. After that its an image reflash, after that it's the bin!

Thanks for your help Curious, very much appreciated.

Cheers Rolks. Got it sorted. I realised what Curious meant after playing about with the settings and all works well now. Good tip about the lnb.
Worth trying I guess if all else fails.

PS. Your English is better than my...well any other language to be honest
