Have i bricked my dm 500s

Hi i think i may have bricked my 500s , i am a bit of a newbie so obviously not too sure but when i used dreamset to try to transfer a bouquet to my box it said it had completed so i tried to reboot my box and all that happens now is the darkstar 2 image comes on for a couple of seconds on the screen and goes off again and thats all it does. any help much appreciated. cheers

try leaving it switched off for awhile. can you connect to the boxes last known ip addy?

hi i have tried connecting through dreambox control centre and all seems ok there

Best to re flash and use dream box edit to transfer over a bouquet.

thanks for the replies looks like i will have to reflash my box then ,as i have left it off for about 4 hours now and nothing has changed.i paid somebody before to flash it so will have to purchase a null modem cable and do it myself this time,i think i know how to do it and i will let you know how get on. thanks again cheers

get cable for future use, but in meantime use flashwizard pro. i use this all the time, only use dreamup for major issues. worth a shot

hi many thanks for all the replies and have finally reflashed and all seems ok now except when i do a transponder scan on the satellites i only get a small amount of channels for example on 13e i get about 113 channels as before it was about 1500 and on 28.2 about 50 channels and not even any sly channels even though the signal strengh is good on both. cheers

and i just found out how to do it correctly but will i remember what i did? its scaning now an taking 24 mins!! oncxe i figure it i'll post back

hi mate i am using darkstar 2 image hope you sorted yours and would be good to know how you did it cheers

ok, this is it, menu, 6, 2, 4, ok, select astra28, ok, then put ticks on network search, and the next 2, save, then go back out and select automatic transponder scan, gets the lot.

i have same image but experimenting and mucking up, i cant recall having to do this first time round|||
