on my pc, only got 1 com port, and dreamup just shows com 1... im using a standard null modem cable, which works perfect on my other dreamboxComment

Ive attached a few different versions of dreamup with a couple of patched ones, try the dm500 one think thats the one that kick started the one I did.
If and once connected erase the corrupted image a few times before flashing fresh image. After that any version of dreamup should connect in future should you need to.

nope none work, that dreamup dm500 just says in progress got startsequence, stating upload.... but its not doing anythingComment

Does the patched dm500 show a progress bar preparing the box. Are you powering box up after you press connect (Im sure you are but just making sure).Comment

Yeh it was a longshot its just that thats only thing I could think of cos I remembered that my firewall was off so maybe was clutching at straws really, was kinda anxious to get your box going
.
Aah well no other ideas im out now time to go to land of nod.
