Connecting a dreambox to existing motorised dish

no i have not got the dish up yet as some one told me to plug into reciever and motor in the house and set up on reciever to 1 w thor and then put onto pole above gutter to the satelite i require but im new to this i have the dreambox 500s said you can move the motor next to reciever in the house thanks

who told you this..? were they pi$$ed..??

you need to set up the lat and long and the correct elevation on the side of the motor bracket when connecting to the dish.. Point the dish at Thor.. get a good signal on this then you can use your box to move it to whatever you want
