hi mate.. i had this when i returned home tonight.. dead easy fix..

unplug box from wall and remove all cables, SCART, Ethernet, Audio etc.. Connect Null Modem cable, run DreamUP on your PC / Laptop then go through the process of flashing an Erase.img (zipped file below).. takes about 13 minutes, then re-flash your backup.img ( i take it you made one..??)

If you dont have a backup.img then you will need to re-flash an image like Gemini 4.2 or Pli..

    That will fix it

          I have the same problem.
I tried to flash my dm 500s with pli-jade using flash wizard but it stacked on 84%.so i close it and restart but now doesn't detect the box.I tried to flash using dreamup and the following msg comes:
"connection prepared, now switch on the dreambox!"
          I switch on the box
          "upload complete,waiting for acknowledge.."
then after a while another msg comes
          "Box does not answer,attach aborted!"
Fro here I cant do any thing.
          Pls help on that!
          many thx

you might need to contact the server provider, and get server details
