Thanks for the reply. I have a db 800 hd clone. When i go to the network section in my db i do not have the wifi option. So if the same usb stick works for u i think my problem is the image i am using. Can u pls tell me how u installed it, what model of db u have, if clone or not and what image u have installed.

I have just bought the 2.8 version of this adapter from amazon but i can not get it to work either on my clone dm box.

The adapter is detected and i can configure it from the network settings with all the correct parameters but when i go to test the network, it appears the dm box is only testing the lan cable and not the wlan.

I noticed that 'the rock' has an original dm and not a clone. Perhaps that is why the adapter works on his dm and not on our clones...?

Perhaps we need to download and install the linux drivers onto our dm machines, if they exist.

its strange i have 2 d800 clones both using nabilo blackhole on the sim 201 bl 76 i cannot get it to work but it works great on the older model strange

You have to disable the lan conection, then your wireless will work. You don't need to download the tp-link drivers.

What image are you running for this to work?

My 54g adapter with gemini 5.1 works okay but i get no joy with my 300n adapter.

In the gemini 5.1 image the drivers are there only for the 54g adapters.

hi people i have had (many)....dm800hd running on wireless via the tplink dongle, in order to enable this function you will need to buy the compatible dongle with right chipset (search forum...) and then enable this in kernal module and then plug dongle in and reboot box you will then need to go into network setup and enable wireless lan,enter wireeless security and there you are.

Same here, ive tried everything. It just wont show up in the network menu.

@12qw - you mentioned it is working with gemini 5.1...do you have an original or clone dm800? do you have "kernel modules" listed in your blue panel -> settings? ....
I have a clone dm with gemini 5.1 but not able to enable wlan bc i dont have "kernel mdules"...
