Evening all, I am trying to FTP Sly UK Bouquets v3.6.1 2nd October 2010 by B16MCC to my DM500V8 box, the Dreambox Edit program was working fine a few weeks ago but now it is saying: Could not login to the Dreambox with username "root" and password "dreambox". Check the username and password and try again.

Has anyone else come across the same problem or know how to fix this issue?

Evening all, has anyone got any ideas on this yet please, I've unistalled the program and re-installed it but I still have the same error message, I also downloaded version 3.1.0.2, but again this is also stating the same error message,

Hi 00360362878, I tried using this version which Zaf sent me a few weeks ago on here, however I am getting the below error message on this program:


Connecting to box Fail, please check your ftp parameters.
Connecting to ftp://root:[email protected]:21
The password was not allowed

A few weeks agao when I was using dreambox edit and dreamSet both programs worked fine,

I would perfer to get dreambox edit working agian as I need to copy the bouquets over before I can upload: Sly UK Bouquets v3.6.1 2nd October 2010 by B16MCC

Can anyone else suggest on how I can get this working please?

when you open dreambox edit at the top click option there you can edit your IP adress name and pass then save and should work make sure the box is connected with internet

Evening CDR, all the details are correct in the options, I have checked my IP address, the server port setting is set to 80 and the FTP port setting is set to 21, all these settings worked fine a few weeks ago, but now its stating it can't connect with the username and password which worked before,

I really want this to work as I want to save the bouquets which I have and then update it,

Afternoon all, I have been on various sites and have tried google by putting in dreambox edit password, I have tried different passwords and tried leaving the password blank as mentioned on other sites but this still doesn't work, has anyone got any further ideas please?

007 have you only got the one box, if you have access to another box try connecting to that. It seems to me that the password has been changed.

Afternoon 00360362878, we do have another box, I will try connecting to that in the next few minutes and let you know the outcome, I think you might be right about the password been reset however, because dreamboxedit was working fine a few weeks ago, but as many of you might know I did a factory rest on my box and since then I returned it to the guy who I brought the box from who got it working again for me and added the orginal list of bouquets,

But the only reason why I want dreambox edit to work again is so I can add Sly UK Bouquets v3.6.1 2nd October 2010 by B16MCC and back up the bouquets which I have at the moment on the box, also I'm hoping that when I manage to FTP Sly UK Bouquets v3.6.1 2nd October 2010 by B16MCC over to my box it will allow me to get some more stations as I'm sure I have lost some stations since the guy fixed my box,

Not 100% sure if this works for the 500 but does for the 800.You could try changing the password using DCC. Open the prog and clear the password in the box, open telnet option and when you connect type in "passwd" you wll then be asked to enter new password and confirm it. You then know your password is good.

I have this issue with my brothers tm500 the guy that supplied it has changed the password so I cant update his channel list. Or anything else for that matter !!!

When I test the IP conncection for my box upstairs it successfully connects to the Dreambox on IP address XXX.XXX.X.XX (port 80) and when I tried downstairs, I changed the IP addres to match that box and it connected to that also when I pressed Test IP Connection, for some reason it seems to be the username and password.

The FTP port is set at 21 if that helps, but I am having the same problem on Dreambox Edit and Dreamset,

Is there anything else I could try please?

No m8 just clear the default password before you telnet
