what are you using to connect to dream up, if you cant connect to dream up i cant see you being able to connect to iport.
if you are using a serial to usb adaptor find a PC with a serial port. i spent way to much time on trying to get it through a adaptor. If you cant find a old pc with this buy a RS232 serial port card, they dont cost much.
also try other versions of dream up.
