Green light is on, blue screen is on the TV, remote control is not able to do anything, no reaction from the box. Now everyone is saying: FLASH IT! REFLASH IT! But my question is, am I going to lose all my channel bouquets and set up if I were to flash it? I pay someone monthly to watch the channels, I don't want to screw it up you know what I mean. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
when the box is stuck as it is when stuck on a contant green light then yes it must be reflashed . the box doesn't have any major problem its just the image (the tv software ) has become corrupt and it has failed , so it will need to be reflashed . sadly when you reflash a box with a new image it erases the current corrupt image including your bouquets and cams etc etc , when your box is stuck like this the only option you have is to reflash . but when your box is fixed and back to how you like it you can use dreamup to make a backup copy of your image which you can save on your pc , that way should your box need reflashing again you could use your backup copy . the benefit of this iis that the backup would contain your cams /bouquets and all your settings , so that when you reflash the box and connect it to your tv the box will be working and back to where it was before the box crashed .

also you should really keep a copy of your ccam.cfg file , I cant go into detail here (forum rules ) except to say this contains the info you pay for . if you don't have this info saved you need to also contact the person you pay and tell them your box is stuck and it needs reflashing and ask them to give you the info again or they may give it to you inside a cccam.cfg file , as I say if they give you that file be sure to save a copy on your pc in case the box crashes again .
i love it when a dreambox comes together.

So I followed all your steps and it seems that I can't get access to the receiver as there was a password set on the telnet that I can't figure out. Now I called him and he wants me to bring the receiver in but he is like 3.5 hours away from me . There is no way to avoid the password in order to get into the receivers files?

do you mean that you tried to use dream control center and its password protected ? . from what you say It seems you bought the box all setup which I call a plug and play box , usually when you buy a box like this the seller has password protected the hidden menus ,this is one of the down sides to buying a plug and play box . people etry to avoid setting up a box them selves and buy a plug and play box , then some thing goes wrong and they find they need to flash the box and do all the stuff they tried to avoid in the first place . I can to a degree understand some people wanting to avoid having to set up a box maybe if they are elderly etc but its always best where ever possible for people to learn how to do this them selves .

as the box is password protected , you have 3 options
1/ bring the box back to the seller (I know you say he is 3 and half hours away which is not ideal )
2/ reflash the box your self using a null modem cable
3/ get the box password from the seller via the telephone

if you can get the password from the seller you can access the box using dream control center and you may be able to flash the boox as I described using the root.cramfs method . if not (I mean if the seller wont give you the password ) that leaves you with options 1 and 2 , as the seller is so far away you may only have one option which is option 2 to reflash your self .

but then you still need the line info from cccam after you reflash the box , will the seller give you this over the phone or maybe in an email ? if so you will be ok .I cant say to much about this as forum rules don't allow it and I don't want to get in trouble . if you can access the box addons menu you may be able to install a plugin called tuxbox (its also called tuxcom) if you can install tuxbox you can access the box hidden menus using the box remote control and you can then see the line info and you can write it down . but again if you cant install tuxbox/tuxcom then your back to options 1 and 2 .
