I know some guys are putting on a brave face because they don't like being scammed but saying

"l0lz I got scammed, I'd do the same tomorrow" is just stupid and irresponsible.

Some ebay sellers work really hard at building feedback, reputation and a relationship with their customers. Scams like this just make it a lot harder for them and make ebay a crappy experience for everyone.

Also maybe it was just a coincidence but lots of sellers listings were removed the day after this scam. Thats months of work down the drain becuase they risk being banned if they relist.

I honestly hope you guys get your money back but those of you are willing to to take a chance on another obvious scam like this again, well you don't deserve to get it back.

Have you actually read any of this thread? No one said they were going to take any risks on an "obvious scam" - that's the point I have been trying to make if you had the capacity to interpret English correctly. I'm in no rush to get scammed again and I'm not in any way cavalier with my hard earned cash.

This was not an "obvious scam" to those of us who got scammed. Personally, I've never sold a dreambox and this was my first attempt at buying this model. ?99 seemed like a good price and not so outrageously unrealistic.

Will I take a risk in the future on an item with an unfeasibly low price? No. Of course not.

Will I take a risk in the future on an item with a lower than Market price, that may even be borderline suspicious? Possibly. It depends on a number of other factors but a low price in itself does not mean it's a certain scam.

eBay is successful because people are always searching for the best price and scams are successful for exactly the same reason. No one deliberately gives a scammer their money and certainly no one deserves to be permanently deprived of it. Your post is moronic and bitter.

Yes everyone like a good deal but there are many more factors to consider.
I think my post was fair given the above post. Ok it wasn't an obvious scam at the time to some people but surely it would be the next time it happens?

If my post comes off as bitter maybe its because I am a little. Some scammer messing up 6 months of work building an ebay account does that to you. Buyers willingly buying into a maybe/maybe not scam just becuase they think there are no consequeces pisses me off.

Anyway you have since clarified your position and as I said I no interest in forum wars. I stand behind my previous post for anyone who buys into something like this again.

But the stuff on this thread with that poor mixed race Chav gangsta lad being suspected supreme scammer was just really funny. Especially his responses to the guys joining his Facebook.reminded me of the lyrics from a song from lady sovereign. even the guys who were scammed must admit that was quite funny
