connect to network using dcc for dm800hd

Hoping your on windows 7 or similar.
Press start on pc,type in cmd.

This will bring up a program,black box.
Type in ipconfig/all and press enter.
This will bring up your ip address,look for default gateway this is the router ip.
As others have said google the make and you will also get it but how do you expect to connect when you havent entered any ip settings in?

At a stab your ip for router will be either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Also google your router make and defualt password.

2 . Go set it up by your t v with you network cable to router .
3 . Press button on dm whilst applying power . Keep pressed until you see stop on l c d .
4 . Write down the number displayed on dm l c d display . Press dm on button once to boot it
5 . Go do your shit on p c . It don t need to be physically connected to p c . Just on line.

do what southpaw said......you'll get your ip address displayed on the screen on the box.

use flash xp as andy said earlier and put in the ip address and user name is root password dreambox..............leave default port and you will connect.

tried this it does not bring any ip up. do i need a wirles router or hub .

i have tried this it only gives internal ip address not router. my router is a scientific atlantic epc2100r2 i have looked on net but is there a web site that will give me the ip if i put model number in. is there any one can who can find out.

i would like to start a fresh if thats ok.
i have a dm800hd clone flashed with gemini
i am tring to connect dm800 and pc with crossover cable and i need to find router ip
(i have tried to get it from dm800 box it gives me
ip 62.186.224
n/mask 255.255.255.0
g/way 62.31.186.1
tried putting that ip in dcc and flashfxp with no connection)
i have tried cmd and the ip i got from there is 82.39.148.1 which is internal ip.
so it looks like i need to turn off dhcp and input my router ip address manually is that right then i should be able to connect.

dcc can find all your info , click search and it should find your dm800 fine ,

soutpaw i have tried that but it wont connect is there a guide to set this up. i use to have a cable d box years ago i vaigly remember i had to get ip from box then go into internet protocal add ip address then open ftp client. is this not the same

to set this up using dcc
go to network menu in dm800 and disable dhcp what should the setting be set up as

use interface yes/no i put yes
ip address 82.39.148.1 got this from cmdexe
net mask what should this be set as
use gatway yes/no
gatway what should this be set as

then when these are filled in go to dcc and add ip address in dcc the it should connect. if that is not the right way could some tell me the proceedure please i have tried all thats been said

wtf you pissing about with network settings for , turn dhcp on in dreambox and do as i said yesterday ,
have you binned that cross-over shit ?

the box does not need connecting directly to the pc , comprenday ????????????????

1 , i told you to jib the crossover cable , but you insist on using it , why ,
2 , you could have got your dm i-p by following the instructions i posted , but you now decide its time to start a fresh , why
3 , you have 2 pages of helpful responses by strangers who have given there time to help you , but you dont listen , why ?
Conclusion !
1. sell your dreambox as you cant use it and not willing to listen to advice ,
or
2. Turn on your webcam , press record , go make a paper hat with a "D" on it , wear it , stand in corner of room with fingers on lips , webcam must record you for 1 hour ,
upload recording to youtube for my amusement , and i may give you some more helpful advice !!!
If you film yourself with the hat and fingers on lips and a dildo sticking out your arse , i may even help you sort your dreambox !!!
