Hi there, what is the best image for the dm800hd to receive a good 7 day epg?

    Thanks.

I personally use CrossEPG, tried a few others but this 1 works the best for me. As an add-on it should hopefully work with quite a few images but I use it with NewNigma2 v3.2 (clone image that is)

Do you think it would work with the blackhole image?

      Thanks.

The blackhole image has a list on addons/plugins doesn't it? Isn't there anything in there?

You can get CrossEPG from here, Downloads - crossepg - An EPG for enigma2 based dvb receivers - Google Project Hosting the mipsel variant with OE1.6 stated in the description is what you want.

Use DCC to ftp the IPK file to the /tmp folder then from the box select addons/plugins then Manual install, hopefully it should display crossepg so do an install.

The other thing is that I would recommend that you either install a HDD or a USB pen drive onto which CrossEPG can download EPG data, it should work without these but it helps keep that temp data off the main SIM which doesn't have a lot of space to spare anyway.

i had shit loads of problems with crossepg on gp2 image.

so i flashed blackhole and its working a treat.

you press the blue button , then the red button for epg. then goto the sats you want epg for and download it. use the rytec ones.

job done. very easy on blackhole mate.

OpenPLI works well with XMLTVPlugin and Rytec sources.

Menu > Timer - Delete the Timer entry for the recording - took me ages to work that out as well!
