try a new power pack. Always 1st thing to try, lack of power going to the box can cause a whole host of problems.

Probably is a dead tuner mate, Id check the power supply first but with my experience Id say its a dead Tuner.. what revision is it buddy?

You could try just reseating it also in the slot first before you buy a new one..

Its gotta be a tuner problem mate, I personally cant see it being anything to do with the power supply.. Hmm another option - I recently lost a couple of transponders, had 0% signal on them. I reflashed my box and bingo everything was back on.. Thats your next step kid.

The power pack is your power supply.

I bought a dm800 and had the same problems you had, plugged it in to my dm500 power supply and worked fine.

I have also had problems when the power pack caused problems with my 500, with certain menus not displaying like sat find or motor setup.

People will automatically blame the tuner as the box is powering up but is the box aint getting the correct power then you will get problems.

Always eliminate the easiest things 1st and work back.

Half Sorted!!! Thank you very much for sharing your experience mate. Followed your advice regarding the power pack. Tried my dm500 power pack to my dm800 and it worked rightaway on my British sky dish but when I tried to connect the cable into my motor dish the light of the motor stays off, thus that means no supply of power going to the motor or I am missing something?

Do they have the same power output ?

                              Least we getting there.
