That is what I thought but thanks for confirming that. I am still curious however if the original 800se has an actel chip. The ferrari team say it does but other forums say it does not. As a matter of interest i just wanted to know.

Please can you tell me what Sim is the 800se you bought? I have a migraine trying to work out if better to have sim 2.1 or ferrari. Seems sim 2.1 boxes have had a security chip removed and so require more patching. They however have more images. Which sim have you guys got and what do people think about each?

i got sim2.1 as well.

i don't know how they are going to stop working in the future. only way is if it breaks down like all things.

i would steer clear of the ferrari sims......is what i heard. mine works well and others i know have it say the same ....all on the 2.1sim. i have 2.01 plugins installed on it and they work fine also. :-)

sim 2.01 seems to have better support and it seems much more common, what are the original boxes use ?

The original boxes as far as i am aware do have a sim but its not as if you could go out and purchase that sim. Also different drivers and so on.

Zelo i wouldnt worry about this chip you are talking about as i said if its missing or needs to there then why isnt there problems from the start with the receiver?

I had a ferarri sim 800 liked the sim but hated the receiver it was in, if the ferarri sim receivers had the same spec as the sim receivers i wouldnt be put off completely. but the sim does have more support. For the 800 i wouldnt say one had more images than the other but sim has pheonix well not for the se yet.

I cant see the chinese releasing a twin tuner for it whos to say it can eiven handle it.

It would be nice but i think its just a rumour.

Still it looks like a very impressive receiver... Want one but still holdimg off.

other than that i would say get 1 soon as you can mate. it seems to be flawless so far....has it for over a month now.

Just not got the time right now working round the clock non stop. Not even had a chance to update my bouquets on my 800pro, actually the last time I did update them was when the haye fight was on.

Once work settles down will defo get one

nope use a supplier in China, will go with them nice prices and never had any problems with there receivers
