Mytube no longer working on Pheonix image.

Never worked for me but think I will try it out on the SE tonight.

Theres so many new images being fired out with youtube as a plugin in yet it does not work, dont really see the point in including things that dont work .

I used the file on post #7 and works a treat on DE Phoenix edition - you do have to change the extracted file type - remove the .txt

That is correct, it extracts as:

enigma2-plugin-extensions-mytube_experimental-git20110807-r0_dm800.ipk.txt

You need to load it as:

enigma2-plugin-extensions-mytube_experimental-git20110807-r0_dm800.ipk

It extracts as an .ipk maybe he fixed it in his short edit after post?

Looks like you're right M8. I've just re-downloaded the first link and it has the .txt at the end but a fresh download doesn't

ive just downloaded it from my previous post and stuck the ipk file on a pli image works fine on the pli image also.

i dont know why it had txt at end of file instead of ipk.i got the file from another forum and used it on my Phoenix image and uploaded it here when someone was having mytube trouble.

maybe u have to go to folder option to see the extension file>Show or hide file name extensions

More stress just tried this but nothing in manual install lpk package even though i deleted youtube folder and transfered new file and put in tmp folder and rebooted.
Any ideas?
Anyone know which is the best way to do this on latest pro,getting no video entries?

Did you install it before you re-booted, as a reboot will clear the tmp ipk?

Regards no video entries are you looking in media player or using easy media?

go into ts panel and uninstaller and remove the plugin from here and add in tmp again m8 and then manual install again l just used the one from post 7 and its fine m8

The one in post 7 for some reason isnt going across yet the one in Ruberducks post does!
Regarding the original youtube folder does the whole folder need to be completly removed?Thats what i did did a reboot added the file and it wasnt showing as a IPK file yet Ruberducks file was can anyone confirm this thanks.
By adding .IPK do you think that will do the trick.
Will have another go later thanks for the help guys.
