Do you have a button on the back of the BOX?

            I did like this.

            Turnd of the box.
Holded the button in and Turned on the box while holding the black pinbutton on the back.
and released it when the display on the box showed an IP.

i used IExplorer and input the ip adress in the url field and start flash it with a new image

there is no need of this kaos

                this is what I did:

                1. switch off your DM800se
                2. keep it switched
                3. Plug in your internet wire into the network port at the back of your receiver
                4. DO NOT SWITCH ON your receiver
                5. press the "mini flashup" at the back of your DM800SE and keep it pressed down
                6. now switch on the receiver (remember to keep the "mini flashup" witch at the back pressed"
                7. on your display you will see STOP and obtaining DHCP
. take note of the ip address 192.XXX.XXX. and go on your pc and write down the ip address in your web browser.
                8. click on "flash"
                9. click choose file and search for your image file .nfi file on your pc
                10. click "Flash!"
                11. reboot your DM800SE
                12. its' done & complete. Now you can set-up again your DM800SE follow the on-screen TV wizard

                here's a good image file:

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

and a video for you that can help you understand the above

bestpilot have you tried switching box off and by where the scart connection is there is a tiny button.you can press in when turning on the box on and connected to the internet.you should now be able to reflash box via web browser.couldnt see what box you got but guessing 800se
