I've noticed that in bad weather, if the dB level drops to 4 or below, the picture starts to glitch quite badly. There are some channels where I get quite a high dB level, so the bad weather doesn't seem to effect them at all.
For example, Channel 4 HD is 15.5dB normally, so in bad weather this would drop to no lower than 12.5dB and the picture remains uninterrupted. On Premier Sports, it would normally be around 6dB and would drop to about 4dB in bad weather. This usually causes the picture to glitch until the weather clears up.
My question is, would an inline amplifier like this In-Line Signal Amplifier Sky Satellite Booster + 2F's | eBay installed on the DM800 end help lift the dB level by 1 or 2?
