Dm800hd Pro (clone) Tuner A (empty)

I had this on a new box with j tuner which came after the m tuner and swapped to a new tuner and it didnr work.
In the end had to send the box back.
I tried updating drivers etc and nothing changed.
You could try a few different images you might get lucky.

not sure I understand andy mate(thanks for reply anyway)
I bought this box as broken on off chance I could get it going again(no luck yet)
it has estar sim 3.0
eardatek tuner (with NO markings to id it)
I used converter 3.9 to flash pli latest on(gjstroom)
flashed ok but empty tuner error
from what I have read the drivers are TOO NEW for this box.
estar sim website is a f*****g joke with no understandable support.
I have a spare sim1 simcard so thinking of either using this as is(limiting me to pre ssl72 iirc?) or I seems to remember being able to update this sim (INSIDE THE BOX) to Ferrari(but then I thought Ferrari had stopped support for even 2.01?no?)

finally I think youre referring to using an older ESTAR image (pre oct 2010 drivers I believe?) to see if the drivers aren't too new and work the tuner..

how would you (Andy) or any other of you good people go forward.please be constructivef course if I had the money id dump it but im SURE this can be sorted!theres always a way

What i was saying was i had Tuner A Empty on my new box and changed the tuner to a new one and it still didnt work.
Most likely a motherboard problem.
If you search the title Tuner A Empty you will find lotes of threads offering fixes but none worked for me.
One was to try different images so worth a try.
You also have an estar sim these are not very popular and alot of images probably wont work with it.
This also may be your problem so make sure you use an image that works with the estar sim.
Only use Ferrari images for Ferrari sim and sim 2 images for sim 2 etc

update lads(andy.):
right,took that piece of shit sim estar out.
replaced with a sim1 I had lying around.
did the free upgrade to ferrrari with it(well supported team/images).
loaded on newest openpli with 88f bootloader.
LUSH.
wish id have thought of it before.
HOWEVER still stuck with tuner empty.
DAMNIT.

eardatek can suck my chocolate salty balls I tell you

the image is lightening fast and network browser works a treat(and v easy to set up).

so from the dead I ALMOST have a working box...

problem is that this eardatek tuner doesn't look like other tuners (which have the wafer to the side)..
no,the eardatek has the pins down the right side(as you look down at it) which slot into the female slots on the main board....
I cant find anyone selling them nor can I ascertain which normal(ie alps) revision I can replace there...

SOOOOOOOOo close to frankensteining (I made that up.)the hell out of this box would be a shame to quit now

Have you tried other images?
I could only get a handful i liked to work with the newist j tuner.
Dreamelite Phoenix Edition had Tuner A Empty so put New Enigma 2 on it and its pretty good.
