DM800 HD PVR Clone failure to boot

Hi, I hope someone can help. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to the dreambox. I am running a DVB800 HD PVR with enigma 2. I was trying to up date the chanel lists / bouquets using Dreambox Control Centre E2 and deleted all files in FTP\etc\enigma2 by mistake. I them tried to copy file in from the folder that I had downloaded (SGTFlipFlop ENiGMA2 16.04.12) but for some reason contents wouldnt transfer. I then went into settings and tried to restore a backup that I had made before I started the above. Now my box freezes on bootup. Can any one help please

You will need to reflash it with null cable connected to pc, search forum for "no ca error" as plenty of guides on dk for fixing this issue

You may be able to do a standard firmware load rather than using a null-modem. The box won't boot as you have deleted the settings file that resides in /etc/enigma2/

          here is the best way

Quick tut to repair NO CA on all DM800HD

          Please use patched version Dreamup

          1. connect via serial using NULL Modem cable and Ethernet to router and pc.. ( if you don't have a Null modem cable you can purchase here null modem cable found EDITED.. ANYWHERE

          2. load patched version of dreamup, select your com port and then click connect and power on dm800

          3. when initialised it will display http serial mode on lcd and show dhcp ip once ip is displayed dreamup as served its purpose and now its in flashmode

          4. log into webshell on pc using the 192.168.x.xxx address on LCD disply and flash as normal

then after all done you will need dremboxedit to upload you sky channel list

Press and hold the front power button whilst powering up the box, keep holding the front button until STOP appears. Then you get an IP address to enter into the browser on your PC.

Have a look in the downloads section for an image but do make sure it's for the correct SIM for your box.

Dont think it will go to "stop mode" due to enigma folder deleted,
              Definately worth a try tho

Thanks for all the advice. Managed to put the box into stop mode, but couldn't flash the box from the webshell. I think that I will have to look at the forums for No CA Error and go down that route.
