dm 800 hd , box crashed

    dm 800 hd , box crashed

    hello i was wondering if anyone can help.. i bought a Dreambox 8oo pvr.. i admit i dont know to much about recievers but as i had a krypview before i thought how different could it be to set up... so anyway i was going through menu screen , i went into software managment and it said updates available so i accepted it loaded finished told me to switch off the box then it crashed. now the box is on , tv screen is black and stanby wont switch on off.. is it just a case of having to reinstall new software .. any help much apreciated

    if you can get a ip address by switching it off at the back and back on while holding the standby button then do so if not you will need to recover it with a null-modem patch lead and you can find a tut in the dreambox section(no ca error fix). online software updates are for original boxs ad should not be used when running patched images on clones,regards mdt

        Hi I'm a newbie and I have a similar problem with my DM800se ie. have the ca error and would like to say thanks for the info I now know where to start to fix it.
