all channels failed after hd tuner failed

Hello. I have a strange problem. directy when I change to a HD channel the snr gets 0 and no matter what I do all channel ( SD and HD) gets tuner failed. I have tuner rev J so I think the old cap fix will do it but can anybody confirm this. By the why I have DM800HD PVR old one from 2009 with new sim 210 and image openpli 2.1. I think the box cools quite good with the fan. Can you drive the box without fan or does it break? best regards

Yes the cap replacement will give you hd signal on a rev j tuner, and the box can run without fan but as with all electronics the cooler the better

Ok but I was thinking about the thing that more heat would start hd channels again. because I had to wait a while before the HD channels strated to work earlier.

best to tackle the issue at hand mate, don't run the box hot just to get around the tuner issue as it will possibly shorten the life-span of the unit, do the cap fix or better still upgrade to a rev -m
