Could be numerous things but would definately change the power supply.
Would even download the same image again. Might be a bad download.
That image is fully loaded and Openpli images tend to be quite bare so maybe a scaled down version of the same image without the plugins might help.

Possibly an issue with bad sectors in memory, Had a similar issue with a 800 once, finally got it booting properly by using "repair bad sectors " in dream up, just to be sure I also used " opti flasher " and repaired bad sectors with that too, bit time consuming but does do a good job, you need to flash with null modem cable with these 2 methods tho and it does take up to an hour

You can easily save your setup complete with satellites and channel list using a program like Dreamset.
You can then re-load this saved file to the box when it gets going again.

Before reflashing your box, thake a backup of the image... just in case things go wrong.
After you get your box going, my advice is to fix an external flash (USB) and use your box in multiboot with either Barry Allen Or Meoboot.

Thought i would update you all

it seems that the motherboard on this 800 is fragged.

so my mate is begrudgingly having to shell out for a new board. weve found one for ?70 so i think that is fairly reasonable.
the Rev M tuner i bought he is going to have also. my box already had an M tuner and his was a J

i will let you all know if a new board rectifies it
