Thanks, I have followed the above instructions with my best ability. I hope someone will help me here.

I am stuck with my dreambox dm800 pvr. Its genuine piece of equipment but I am trying to flash it in a stop (ip) mode via net browser. When I select the file and press flash icon, nothing happens.....

try a different web browser, and make sure its Ethernet hard-wired to your home network

the file you are attempting to flash needs to be a .NFI file type. (it must end in dot nfi). also before you flash it, the image must be compatible with the box, genuine images for genuine box and clone team images for each clone teams box

You gotta be doing something wrong mate, it's a very straight forward procedure provided you have the correct NFI file for your box, see youtube for "how to flash dm800"

I'm guessing you have Ethernet cable connected when you power up the box and it says stop. You should see an ip address. Make sure you put the address in web address bar and not search engine. Like others have said its very simple to do will send you a youtube guide if that helps, Andy.

Well I'm no expert, but I have been up and running for the last two year's with a genuine box. This is a great forum but there are others, google is our best friend so do a bit of searching for your error.
Like I said I'm no expert, but are you sure it's genuine ? Sim 201 ain't for a genuine box. Google no ca found fix.
I use Dreamup and network plus RS232 null modem cable for flashing and works every time.
Hope I've been of help...... don't give up these things are sent to try us.

They do yer f****** head in !!!!! Been there.

Have a look at 4 posts down.......................

                        Thanks for you reply.

I have verified its authenticity from dream multimedia website. It is undoubtedly a genuine box, as it codes, mac serial number matches with the information. As I know, all these boxes has builtin sim 201 to to make sure they will not get cloned but there are brainy guys who can copied these boxes too.

I have googled it and I found the information about null/serial cable, which I have ordered it with usb adapter etc.... I am still not an expert and its my first dreambox. It is far too complicated than i thought but there are good people who are helping me here. I should appreciate your help

Anything with a reference to sim2 or 201 or 210 is clone mate, like i pointed out before you bricked it, you need a genuine image for genuine unit and sim2 image for sim2 clone unit, that "rami-mahah 76c" image you flashed is a sim2 clone image that's about 3 years old , go to dream multimedia website for genuine image, if it is a genuine box that is

How much did you pay for the box and where did you obtain it from? That's a good indicator if its original or a clone mate. Better to use null modem cable and dreamup on a desktop pc with XP windows if you can, its a lot easier. Andy.
