NEW mini vu duo twin tuner dreambox hybrid !?

I got one of these box's a week ago so far seems a good box. I flashed latest openvix genuine image. Im getting tune failed on boxnation and some freezing on bt sports hd but all other channels are fine. I have another box which picks these channels up fine where i set mini vu duo up strange thing I tried the duo in another place and boxnaton worked ok anyone got any ideas? I have a 500gb hard fitted recording have been fine so far. Does anyone know is it ok using the genuine images on these or should I be using clone safe images?

got no issues, its probably different LNB better signal ?? different boxes different sensitivity tuner , as you got 2 sat cables coming in swap them around . of course its ok to use genuine images it aint gonna blow up , the box is using latest drivers, when vu decide to release new drivers then it wont work, then either revert back to last working build, and then to use latest images need to get the patched images which will use the last drivers that did work

I had the same issue with bt sport, that was before my box had a premature death.
I sorted temporarily by swapping coax cables

What does the front OLED display do on these VU MINI DUO boxes ? The original and clone duos had a larger VFD display. Does the front OLED work ? If so what does it show on there ? Is it the same as the dm800se clones with channel namme and number displayed and a clock in standby ?

Interesting so in other words there is no front display. No big deal but a display is nice to have.. You can at least see what's going on when flashing an image when you have a display.
Must be cost cutting if the x duo version doesn't have a working front display, it is advertised as having a vfd display.

x duo doesnt have a vfd display, the mini vu duo the led starts flashing when flashing is complete , no big deal not having a front display anyway,

Try a couple of different usb sticks with BlackHole-2.0.8 usb image
you will see a small green light blinking to let you know its finished flashing, power off removed usb stick then power on and wait,
be patient can take a couple of mins to kick in
also sometimes it can default to scart output so plug a scart lead in as well and check avi output on tv to see if its booting.

Ok, Copied blackhole 2.0.8 on to a fresh usb stick, flashed the box ,I did not see any green light flash [ to be fair I did not see the green light when I flashed the very first time with VIX , when the box was working].
Left it for 10 mins, removed usb and powered down. waited a little then powered on. Box stayed on red light and blank screen on tv.
Now the strange bit , the tv picked the box up as STB Refsw STB [ same as my Vu solo2] but remained on a blank screen. The scart and HDMI were plugged in.
The box seems to respond to any imput via remote by the red light blinking on the front, However the screen always remains blank.
Well it looks like my vu duo mini is still in a coma.

Blackhole was the one i had to switch to scart output on the tv before i could see the bootup logo,
also if you have a hdd or any other storage devive connected to it try taking that out prior to flashing it
you should deffo get a small green blinking light when its finished flashing
Same thing happened and it was down to the usb stick as soon as a different one it worked, if you can get hold of a couple of others try them with a couple of different images....download a fresh image from here and give that a try

I have never seen the green light blink after flashing both the Mini Duo and X-Duo, just leave them 10 minutes then remove USB and reboot.

I think they revised them , now gets flashing led to confirm flash complete, fan spins slower , so makes its silent now
