NEW mini vu duo twin tuner dreambox hybrid !?

im in the same boat, bought 3 of these boxes one works fine with no HDD, and other 2 with HDD stuck on red light tried everything no joy. Sent one back already, other which is 1week old going back today.

1 of mine has developed the same fault did you get yours from mixeshop?

They emailed me and said they would send me the chips for me to replace but I told them no chance so I am sending the mainboard back to them to replace
here is the picture they sent me of the chips they say that are the cause of this fault, there on the underside of the board
big one is The U506 chip - Toshiba TC58NVG053ETA00
the smaller one is the UU1 chip - ST 8S103K3

how the hell they expect you to replace them, in standby these boxes get very hot, im guessing the soldering loses contact

Got mine back earlier in the week. Have not put a hdd inside just yet. Hopefully the fix is a permanent one

One of my box's has now went faulty to just the red light I have contacted mixeshop so waiting on a reply. Any advise on whether I should post box or just send the main pcb when hopefully they authorise me to send it back. I wont be getting any more of these box's now.

They will tell you to flash blackhole 2.0.7 on which wont fix it then they will offer to send you the chips to replace them yourself just be adamant that you cant do this and then they will send you a return form to send the mainboard back to them for repair or replacement.

Just send the board back its hard to send electrical stuff back to China they crush it.
I sent back a Dreambox and it cost a small fortune. Send the board back via Post Office that's your best option.

I had a box go down on Saturday (just redlight on, unable to flash by USB), it would seem like it is the same issue as the clone Solo2 are having.
Was using official VIX Zeus on it.

It seems to be affecting all Chinese boxes with the latest drivers including the Mini Duo, X-Duo and X-Solo Mini. The Ferrari patched images seem to be OK so long as they are not online updated.

yours seems to be caused by using a newer image with new drivers, usually this box is prone to red led stuck caused by hardware fault,

its a right mess right now, hope soon we get some good news

I was using latest vix zeus on it. I had been using ts media to watch stuff and was downloading to box from ts media I noticed box had froze so turned it off at back and it never came on after that. I have tried reflashing with usb and via rs232 but nothing is working. There no noise from fan i have removed the hdd.

yours most likely caused by using new image with new drivers,

i should be getting my mini vu duo tomorow or wednesday it looks like all the image makers are releasing clone killer software so i think the best and safest way to go is use the ferrari patched clone safe vu duo images
