Dreambox hd800 clone green screen on boot up

    Hi guys

I am new to the forum and desperate for some help on my dreambox.

i recently downloaded some software off tspanel not sure what it was though, all I do know is after the dreambox rebooted it gets to around 3 quarters on boot up and it then gets a green screen with all information on it and the reboots it then does the same process over and over again.
I tried to re flash the unit but my computer would not link up with the unit I tried using loads of different internet browsers and also different software but still no joy.
I even asked a friend who really good with dreamboxes and reflashed the unit before but he also had no joy.
It has to be something to do with the add on I downloaded as it was working fine before.
I have enclosed a picture to show the error.
Any ideas I'm gutted at the moment

    THanks

Won't it let you try and flash holding the power button in on boot up, web browser method?

Strange you get an ip address up and web browser don't work. Looks like its dreamup then with null modem cable.

you need to check what connection your pc has mate, as most modern pc`s don't have rs232 , therefore you may need a usb to rs232, google rs232 to give you an idea of what to look for

Always better to use desktop pc if you can with Windows XP.

Hello I got the lead sorted but my computer wouldn't connect to it ,However I managed to get the dreambox to connect via dcc and that seems to be the only way I can talk to the unit is there any way I can reflash the dreambox via dcc I have noticed there is an option in the tools section of dcc.Does anyone know how I can do this it seems to be last chance saloon?
As I am not very good at this can the directions be as simple as possible please

                  Thanks again for your help!!

you need a certain version of dreamup mate, as some wont connect, also check your power supply as these often fail and wont output the correct 12v

make sure your using correct com port, open "device manager" and check what changes when you plug in the usb/null cable as that will flag up which port it is assigning
