And if is not present, it not their problem.
On mail I too have faced a problem. By post rules of China, it is forbidden to send electronic products in the country. Therefore I had to write that it not DM800, and an iron box with a wire. That is now, even under documents issued on a parcel, I cannot prove that have sent to them DM800.
And still. Usual mail in territory of China does not give tracking number.
Now I cannot prove that they have received my parcel.
Now I have understood, why Chineses have told to send usual mail.
They have received mine DM800 and will sell to another. Then again to them will send it on replacement and they "will not receive" it. Will sell to the following fool.....
Good business. So it is possible to sell same DM800 hundred times.

DO NOT BUY THROUGH THE INTERNET ANYTHING FROM CHINESES!!!

The economy of $200 at purchase counterfeit DM800 will manage to you much more expensively this money. As a result you can appear in my situation - there is no money and is not present DM800!

it is true you can not import satalitte boxs into china. Any brand.

For you to return a faulty item without tracking is crazy. Always send via tracking and signed for.

How it is possible to send "Always send via tracking and signed for" if you cannot write, what lies in a parcel? - Only a simple parcel on which tracking will be to border with China.
In the present state of affairs it has no value.
Chineses can easily confirm that have received a parcel.
To tell "thanks for a gift" and nothing to send in exchange.
With them there is no contract/agreement and to prove something - is useless.
All private trade with China is constructed on larceny.
Look how many them have expelled with Ebay.
All the same every day as ants creep out again.

Zluuk, you apperantly made i mistake. I sent my dm800 to china via priority registered airmail and it was delivered on 9th January (i was able to track it via Chinese post). Tina told me that she got the box and will send me new/repaired one ASAP.
I didnt write anything on the package, only address that she gave me. I sent this dm800 as normal letter (in yellow envelope with bubbles inside) and not as a parcel so i didnt have to write what its in the package.
When i get new box i will write here. Apperantly their customer support is quite good, will see.

Clone v Original ?

New to forum, upgrading system !
Thinking about buying 800 HD. I have been offered a clone and was wondering if there is any significant difference between it and an original. From a scan of the posts it seems like there is not much difference except that you have to be careful regarding the software you use to upgrade. From my earlier days in the sat hobby I was aware that some so called updates for the Dreambox wiped out the clones. Is this still the case? Should I even be considering a clone?
And if so what software should I be downloading?

Help from members to bring an 'old guy' up to date would be appreciated.
